The Theme of Loneliness in of Mice and Men Summary: à Loneliness assumes a significant job in John Steinbeckââ¬â¢s tale Of Mice and Men. As Steinbeck delineates through Curleyââ¬â¢s spouse, Candy, and Crooks, friendship and a feeling of having a place are indispensable with human joy; every one of the three characters face issues and negative emotions as a result of their dejection and disengagement. [pic] Loneliness is one of the essential subjects in Of Mice and Men. We will compose a custom exposition test on How Does John Steinbeck Create the Theme of Loliness in of Mice and Men or then again any comparative theme just for you Request Now All through the novel, John Steinbeck shows the tremendous impact that depression has on the characters. Steinbeck most obviously shows this topic through Crooks, Candy, and Curleyââ¬â¢s spouse. Farm hands are perfect kinds of individuals to depict as being desolate, in light of the fact that their steady travel leaves them without somebody to converse with or share things with. Steinbeck likewise shows how significant it is for each person to have a partner. Friendship is essential with the end goal for somebody to carry on with an agreeable life. Despite the fact that depression influences every last one of the characters in Of Mice and Men in an unexpected way, they all experience negative sentiments from their absence of friendship. In Of Mice and Men, no other character apparently passes on their depression more so than Curleyââ¬â¢s spouse. Sheâ⬠¦.. Curlyââ¬â¢s spouse is maybe one of the most huge topics of forlornness in the novel. She plays with all the folks on the homestead and dresses and acts like a **** in light of the fact that her significant other doesn't adore her, leaves her alone the entire day and sheââ¬â¢s desolate. Peculiarly enough,I felt frustrated about her since she is caught feeling desolate in a cold marriage, and other than nobody on the farm ever truly allows her to be change, they simply take one gander at her and state ââ¬Å"Sheââ¬â¢s troubleâ⬠,or ââ¬Å"I think Curlyââ¬â¢s spouse is a tartâ⬠. â⬠¢Crooks is another extraordinary topic of lonliness in the novel as well. Since Crooks is African-American during the Great Depression,he is kept separate from the group at the ranch, and goes through his days in solitude in the stable, thus he is known as The Stable Buck The most effective method to refer to How Does John Steinbeck Create the Theme of Loliness in of Mice and Men, Papers

Basic Review - Assignment Example This strategy is acknowledged by both legislative and social associations to address the issues of the individuals so gatherings of various phonetic territory have a similar opportunity to participate in their administration and to get administrations from their legislature. Language arranging inclinations as a rule attempt to meet these prerequisites by sinking semantic assortment, where an unmistakable language is recognized as a national language and a solitary language is certified ââ¬Ëstandardââ¬â¢ to empower phonetic solidarity in a country where various dialects exist (David, 1988). A Deconstruction of Erich Maria Remarque's All Quiet on the Western Front The youthful warriors delineated in Erich Maria Remarque's content All Quiet on the Western Front speak to an age unprecedented, consistency, or planning. The men, noting their older folks' calls to become national saints, have lost their blamelessness on the war zone and remain always modified in conviction and soul. Remarque differentiates the cool real factors of war in the present to the serenity of the past so as to outline the mental change of the men positioned on the bleeding edges. The fighters seem caught in the present and estranged from their pasts; nonetheless, deconstruction of the content rejects the present and past as restricting conditions of time and personality, and uncovers them as related conditions that are personally and for all time interlaced. A significant part of the basic writing with respect to All Quiet on the Western Front concerns the double connection between the images of present and past. For instance, pundits Barker and Last affirm: This burst with the past is one of the most predominant subjects of Remarque's work, the intermittence of life, this shocking starting with one spot of presence then onto the next, for which man is totally ill-equipped (54). This restriction is spoken to in Remarque's portrayals of the differentiating situations of present and past.? The present is portrayed as a condition of unconventionality, vulnerability, and temporariness in which the troopers just exist on the edge of life. The storyteller, Paul Baumer, bestows the horrid edginess of the front: Shells, gas mists, and flotillas of tanks- - breaking, consuming, demise. Loose bowels, flu, typhus‑scalding, stifling, passing (Remarque 283). Interestingly, the past is... ...between the present and the past. Characterizing images, customs, and charges of the past, both genuine and saw, incite a human fight between rival thoughts of a perfect present. Artistic deconstruction moves toward a book in much a similar way, going up against and disassembling fixed signs, customs, and affirmations. However like war, a deconstructive perusing doesn't give a last answer or a definitive truth. Works Cited Barker, Christine, and R.W. Last. Erich Maria Remarque. London: Oswald, 1979. The works of Audre Lorde, Ntozake Shange, and Junot Diaz have featured communities that are formed around a shared sexual identity: one that is either chosen to be empowering or one that is forced upon the community members. In some cases, these sexually-defined communities are able to deepen the emotional connection between their members. In others, it limits or completely cuts off this connection. Audre Lorde writes about the power that eroticism has to restore the common history and heritage of women of color in her essay ââ¬Å"Uses of the Erotic: The Erotic as Power.â⬠In it, she discusses the origin of the word ââ¬Å"eroticâ⬠and defines it as such: ââ¬Å"an assertion of the lifeforce of women; of that creative energy empowered, the knowledge and use of which we are now reclaiming in our language, our history, our dancing, our loving, our work, our livesâ⬠(Lorde 55). The erotic encompasses every aspect of life, from pure sexuality to the idea of being intellectually aroused by and passionate about oneââ¬â¢s work. It allows women of color to reclaim the pride they have in every aspect of their lives. They can hold onto their shared language of womanhood and feel strengthened by it. Women unify by embracing the erotic power and using it to enrich their lives as a whole; they do not have to rely on anyone but themselves. It is a personal empowerment that becomes a shared empowerment as women adopt and implement the erotic in their lives. As the erotic unites women through passion, it also deepens the individual relationships between women as they begin to acknowledge the differences between their stories and bridge those gaps. Through sharing the erotic, Lorde states that it ââ¬Å"forms a bridge between the sharers which can be the basis for understanding much of what is not shared between them, and lessens the threat of their differenceâ⬠(Shange 56). By understanding that each womanââ¬â¢s life and struggles are different, but of equal importance, is the key to deepening the emotional relationships between them. At the same time, it prevents those differences from creating a rift that is uncrossable. It serves as a glue that seeps in and bonds women to the core. Similarly, throughout Ntozake Shangeââ¬â¢s choreopoem ââ¬Å"For Colored Girls Who Have Considered Suicide When the Rainbow is Enuf,â⬠women of color are brought together as a single community through their shared, but largely negative, sexual experiences with men. The introductory poem, ââ¬Å"Dark Phrases,â⬠writes about the ââ¬Å"dark phrases of womanhood / of never having been a girlâ⬠and addresses the subject head-on; verbal harassment, specifically sexual, is a guaranteed occurrence in the lives of women of color (Shange 3). Dark phrases consist of harassment such as catcalls, threats, and other sexual assertions by men. They are the unspeakable, hidden, harmful sentiments that have cast female sexuality into the shadows. This universal experience of being a target for ââ¬Å"dark phrasesâ⬠is what creates a collective womanhood in which all women of color unite to protect themselves. They have all lost their childhood to their sexual exploitation, and now they must protect their adulthood. By having each lady in the choreopoem participate, the poem invites women from across the country to feel welcome within this community. They are women from coast to coast and they all stand united in their shared female experience. While women form a community around their shared sexual experience, they are severely hindered in achieving emotional human connection with the men who have fostered these experiences. In the poem, ââ¬Å"One,â⬠the lady in red acts as a seductress to get revenge on the men that took advantage of her. As she is luring men in, she says ââ¬Å"she wanted to be unforgettable / she wanted to be a memory / a wound to every man / arrogant enough to want herâ⬠(Shange 32). She scars these men through sexual manipulation in the same way that men as a whole have scarred women of color using the same method. She asserts that men are not entitled to women, and they should not be ââ¬Å"arrogantâ⬠to expect it at all. By inflicting a wound on these men, she is able to, if only momentarily, resurrect the independent and sexually empowered self that she has lost. However, she cannot resurrect any of the pure emotional compatibility with men that might have existed before being sexua lly harassed or assaulted. That relationship is forever tarnished. On the reverse side, male sexuality in Junot Diazââ¬â¢s ââ¬Å"The Brief Wondrous Life of Oscar Waoâ⬠does engender a community, but one that is saturated with toxic hyper masculine expectations that alienate those who donââ¬â¢t conform. More specifically, it is the sexual expectations imposed by the Dominican community on its children that are an alienating force. As a young boy, Oscar is described as a ââ¬Å"ââ¬Ënormalââ¬â¢ Dominican boy raised in a ââ¬Ëtypicalââ¬â¢ Dominican family, his nascent pimp-liness was encouraged by blood and friends alikeâ⬠(Diaz 11). From early on in his life, Oscar is pressured to be a casanova that charms women through his sexual prowess. In fact, the phrase ââ¬Å"nascent pimp-linessâ⬠imposes the expectation that as a Dominican male, he should be born with such a charm. If he isnââ¬â¢t, then he isnââ¬â¢t Dominican. Since Oscar is characterized as less than charming, his masculinity is called into question and h e is isolated from the Dominican community that he has every right to be apart of. Unfortunately, the way that Dominican culture perpetuates sexual dominance creates unnecessary competition between Dominican men. In some cases, it makes their emotional interactions borderline violent and sadistic. In Oscarââ¬â¢s fantasy about stealing a girl away from the extremely-masculine Manny, he says ââ¬Å"when he was in a better mood he would let Ana find Manny hanging from a light fixture in his apartment, his tongue a swollen purple bladder in his mouth, his pants around his anklesâ⬠(Diaz 42). Oscar is so threatened by this other male that he wishes an extremely emasculating death upon him. By fantasizing about Mannyââ¬â¢s suicide, Oscar suggests emotional weakness that reduces Mannyââ¬â¢s rigid masculinity. By having his ââ¬Å"pants around his ankles,â⬠Oscar belittles Mannyââ¬â¢s sense of sexual superiority. If Oscar had been raised in a community where hypermasculinity was of little importance, then maybe Oscarââ¬â¢s human connection to other men would be pleasant instead of tense and aggressive. While Audre Lorde advocates for the erotic as a way to both form and strengthen communities, not everyone in the texts weââ¬â¢ve read were able to embrace its power in the way she intended. For the women of Shangeââ¬â¢s choreopoem, it strengthens human connection between women but limits it between the two genders. For Oscar, never having known sexuality and passion as a morally-empowering tool, it leaves his connection to other men hostile. While sexuality impacts the characters of these stories differently, it impacts them completely.

Question: Discuss About The International Journal Advances Information? Answer: Introduction The report gives an overview of the wide area design created for the connecting the different offices of Arr Company. A local area network is designed and a discussion is given on the cabling plan and type of connection used for the local area network. The type of topology used for the network is also discussed and each of the floor of the office buildings are analyzed for the creation of the floor plan. The network solution is designed by analyzing the requirement and the number of hosts required to be installed and enabling the users to communicate with each other using the network solution. For designing the network diagram Cisco packet tracer simulator software is used and the floor plan of the head office is created in Microsoft visio. Potential Concerns related with the connections There are different potential concerned that should be analyzed for increasing the efficiency of the network design and reduce the response time of the proposed network solution. The installation of the network device near the power lines, motors and other sources can cause electromagnetic interferences and thus degrade the quality of the signals and cause error in the transmission. The network should be designed with redundant links such that if a link is broken the secondary link can be used for backup for transmitting the data packets in the network. There are many security related issues that needs to be resolved for securing the network and restrict the access of the unauthorized users to connect with the core components of the network. The network administrator may face difficulty while management of the network resources distributed in different location of the network. There are other potential concerns that can affect the network such as cost, administrative time and the fai lure of the file server installed in the network. The network is designed to remove the complexity such that it can save the effort of the technician to resolve any problem associated with the maintenance of the network. The connection between the offices should be secured and some encryption algorithm, must be applied such that if it is accessed by any third party agents it would not be recovered and thus cannot use for illegal activity. The wireless access point installed in the network should have proper protection such that it cannot be access by unauthorized users. The servers connected in the network should be configured to group the users and manage the printing jobs for better management of the users and the network resources. A network monitoring tool should be used for the analysis of the flow of data packets and protect the network from distributed denial of service attacks. Discussion on the local area wiring The main physical property of the local area network are the network interface cards and the cables used for connecting the computers in the network for communicating with the other users connected in the network. Twister pair network cables are used for connection and wireless access points are installed at each of the floor for allowing the users to connect their wireless devices in the network. Some of the LAN equipments such as the bridge and repeaters are used for extending the network and separate them from another network. The capacity of the transmission is also important for increasing the efficiency of the network solution and direct connection should be used for connecting the network devices installed in the network. The network backbone should be fiber optics cable for connecting the different offices in the network because it allows higher bandwidth and is best suited for long distance transmission. Different types of cables are used for interconnecting the routers, switches and the nodes connected in the network. There are different types of cables such as unshielded twisted pair, shielded twisted pair, multi-mode fiber and single mode fiber for local wiring. The interconnection between the routers are done using the serial cables and cat 6a cables are used for connecting the layer 2 switch with the router and for local distribution purpose the cat 6 cable is applied. The cat 6a cables operates in the frequency of 500 Mhz and has the support for 1000 Mbps Ethernet and 10 Gbps Ethernet connections. The cat 6 cable is used for reducing the cost of cabling because its price is less when compared with the cat 6a cables. Discussion on the type of local area network topology Two types of network configuration are applied for designing the network solution for Arr Company, such as peer to peer network and client server network. The peer to peer network is designed for each of the departments that have less number of users and where security is not the main aspect. Each of the users connected in the peer to peer network can share their files and documents easily without any restriction acting on them. The client server network is used for the management of the wide area network where a central server is installed in the network for storing the files in the server and controlling the access of the other users. High level of security can be implemented and the server should have high end configuration for supporting the virtualization and balancing the load of the network. The local area network is designed following the star topology and a central router is used for each of the department for connecting the nodes installed in different location of the offic e building. The star topology is selected because different medium can be used for transmission of data packets in the star topology. Separate cables are used for establishment of connection between the device and the central switch and thus if a device fails it does not affects the performance of the network. A backup plan should be available for the central device because it is the main element of the network, if it fails the whole network would stop working. Each of the department of the organization are connected using a separate VLAN configured on the switch used for providing connection to the users. Since it is a large organization many data are generated in the network and there is a risk of collision between the data packets in the network and the data may get lost. Thus the creation of the VLAN would help to create separate channels for transmission of the data packets in the network and increase the efficiency of the network. Floor Plan for the companys head office The office buildings of Arr Company is located in different location of the suburb and a wide area network connection should be used for the connecting the offices. Local server are installed in each of the building for serving the needs of the users. The head office of the company is located in Melbourne CBD in the top three floor of a building for three departments namely: general support, sales and marketing. The first floor needs a LAN for connecting the 32 workstations, the second floor needs LAN for connecting the 20 workstations and the third floor needs the local area network for connecting the 38 workstations. Each of the LAN should be configured with IP address and subnetted for reducing the wastage of the IP address. A central router should be installed in the network for connecting all the three departments and configured with IP route for enabling communication with the other offices. A layer 3 switch should be connected with the router for creation of VLAN and minimize the impact of the potential problems identified for the development of the network solution. A same layout is followed for each of the floor for the development of the network solution. The head office of the company should be connected with a strong backbone and the network servers should be installed in the DMZ zone and the physical access should be restricted. Conclusion From the above report it can be concluded that for the development of the network solution and analysis is made on the structure of the building, floor plans and the number of workstations and servers required for each of the department. For the preparation of the network solution a wide area network and a local area network is designed. There are some potential concerns related with the connection between each of the departments and they are also discussed in the report. The wide area network is designed for connecting the different offices located in different location of the suburbs and the local area network is designed for connecting each of the departments in the office. For designing the wide area network for the company separate cluster is used different VLANs are allocated for each of the cluster for increasing the security of the network.
